  • A Healthy Body and Mind

    Recent research shows that good mental health can support good physical health. At Rogue River School District, we strive to ensure the enrichment of our students as a whole. Which is why we are excited to welcome Options for Southern Oregon into our schools!

    Options is a nonprofit that has been providing mental health services in Jackson and Josephine counties since 1981. Their services will be made available most Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and will include:

    • Academic and Attendance Support
    • Processing Conflicts
    • Listening to Student Concerns
    • Lunch Detention
    • Facilitating Restorative Conversations
    • Small Groups Working on Social Skills

    Because attendance is crucial to successful learning, services will be structured in a way that minimize the interruption of important class time. Furthermore, Options of Southern Oregon will not act as disciplinarians. Rather, they will help the district supplement support to students and their families.

    Any counseling sessions requested between student and counselor will be communicated with parents prior to appointment time and should you feel at any point that you would not want your child to participate in counseling services, please fill out our Opt-Out form.
