We are ready for another great school year. Please make sure to check in with the school office about registration. All new, and returning students, need to complete registration. We look forward to working with you, and are glad you have selected SVA.
We are pleased to announce that our new Student Information System, Tyler SIS, is up and running and our new Parent Portal is now ready. At this time we are opening up Online Registration for any returning students. Please use this link to access the parent portal.
We are back in the office on August 5th. If you have any questions or trouble registering please contact us.
SVA Summer School
This is a reminder that our 2nd session of summer school is underway. It runs from Monday, August 5th to Friday, August 16th.
Please make arraingements to turn in your chromebook and charger by Wednesday, August 21st.
Thank you to all for making the start of the year such a success. Our numbers are growing, we are on the lookout to expand into additional locations, and we are adding to our student opportunities. Here are a couple of opportunities on the near horizon:
With great thanks to the Josephine County Youth Foundation, we have received funding to purchase a T-Shirt printer, heat press and supplies to begin making our own T-shirts, mugs and supplies. Students will work with staff to create custom designs that can be printed. Our hope is to be able to also produce shirts for community events.
With the support from The Skyrman Techno Fund, ODOT, and Emanuel Legacy Hospital, we are able to start a bicycle maintenance program for the community. A portion of the funds will be used to send one of our students to the United Bicycle Institute in Ashland, for a one week class on basic bicycle maintenance. The remaining funds will be used to purchase an outdoor bicycle repair stand tools, installed outside for the community, a bicycle repair stand inside, tools, and supplies. Supplies will also be purchased to support the repair and maintenance of scooters and skateboards. If you child is interested in being the one student to attend the bicycle institute, applications will be available soon.
